To meet the aims of R&D characterization of products in different agro-environment, Precision Testing carries out agronomic and varietal trials on the main arable crops in Northern Italy (Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia).
The machines are equipped with semi-automatic guidance, and they are connected via ISOBUS and managed by monitors. The seeders and plot combine are managed by dedicated software, which allows monitoring of their functionality (for example, seeding control) and the recording of data relating to each operation performed.
Precision Testing plans and carries out:
Precision seeding
The precision planting HALDRUP SP-35, built on Monosem elements, allows the sowing in different types of soils for textures and cultivations (conventional tillage, minimum tillage, no-tillage).
It is able to manage sowing at variable density, plot-by-plot, with the simultaneous distribution of microgranular products in furrow, liquid products inside and outside the furrow, and chemical fertilizers (with a specific kit for application and incorporation).
As well as the modern seeders, the SP-35 has been implemented with modern tools in order to perform sowing at variable rates based on prescription maps, so being able to test the products from the perspective of precision farming techniques.

Sowing in rows
The pneumatic seed-drill, built on DAMAX frame and elements, used for continuous sowing of cereals and other crops, is able to sow plots at variable rate, with the simultaneous distribution of microgranular products in furrow.
As well as the SP-35, it has been adapted to perform sowing of macroplots at variable rate based on prescription maps.

Harvesting of seed trials
Two plot combines equipped with modern and different weighing systems allow to expand the range of services offered.
The plot combine HALDRUP C-85 (purchased new in 2022), equipped with 4.0 technology and with semi-automatic guidance, implements a complex system for evaluating plot yields and the qualitative parameters of the grain. capable In particular, of carrying out many continuous measurements on the entire volume of grain harvested from the plot. A sophisticated grain sampling system is also installed in the machine (managed in the cab by the second operator), which allows for continuous sampling from the entire harvested volume and cleaning of the sample.
The FarmLiner 3370, (modified by BAURAL and purchased used in 2020), has been implemented with a a new plot weighing system (2021) and has been equipped with 4.0 systems to cary out continuous yield mapping.
Both combines are equipped with headers for harvesting maize, cereals and oilseed crops.
The DEUTZ FarmLiner 3370, with wider headers than the C-85, is used for harvesting large areas and macroplot.

Chopping for biomass and silage trials
The rotary chopper-loader KE-125 allows chopping crops sown at different densities and row spacings. The conveyor channel is connected to a weighing system with load cells. The entire loading and weighing system is designed to prevent even the smallest amount of product loss.

Providing robust data
The meticulous care that the Precision Testing technicians put into all field operations is the basis for providing solid data. The working group is structured and organized to:

Autonomy, flexibility and safe work
The field experience and use of machinery by Precision Testing technicians, combined with the possession of specific certificates for the use of machinery, licenses for driving heavy vehicles and for piloting drones, allows the work group to operate with full autonomy and flexibility, ensuring promptness of operations in a safe environment.
Precision Testing, in fact, continually invests to increase the safety of mechanical operations in the field
